Cubes were a bit harder to find in the late 1980's, early 1990's, but lately have become quite easy to order online, particularly due to the expansion of Meffert's line of puzzles and the opening of Hessport's Rubik's Shop. Below are specific suggestions on buying them.

2x2 cube

The 2x2x2 cube is now available at Hessport's Rubik's Shop. Select the Classic Rubik's link.

3x3 cube The 3x3x3's are the easiest to find.
  • For an actual store, a good spot is a college bookstore or a store at a museum, where they often have puzzles with pictures related to the college or museum on them.
  • The 3x3x3 cube is available at Hessport's Rubik's Shop. Select the Classic Rubik's link.
  • Another great on-line site is Meffert's World of Puzzles. He sells the Assembly Cube, a 3x3x3 cube that can easily be assembled and dissasembled for just $12. Unless you like challenges, be sure to purchase the 6 color one, since the 3 color assembly cube is much more difficult to solve.

4x4 cube

  • The 4x4x4 cube is available at Meffert's
  • It is also being sold at Hessport's Rubik's Shop. Select the New Rubik's link.

    • 5x5 cube

  • The 5x5x5 cube is available at Meffert's
  • It is also being sold at Hessport's Rubik's Shop. Select the New Rubik's link.

    • Square 1

  • Again, Meffert carries the Square 1.
  • It is listed at Hessport's Rubik's Shop under Best of the Rest. However, in December 2003 it was listed as Out of Stock.
