Purchasing Cubes and Other Puzzles

Cubes were a bit harder to find in the late 1980's and early 1990's, but they made a big comeback in the 2000's. You can now find cube's in most puzzle shops, plus at numerous retailers online, including at the official Rubik's store. For the more exotic puzzles, check out Meffert's selection.

2x2 cube

The 2x2x2 cube is available at the official Rubik's store. Select the Rubik's Mini Cube.

3x3 cube The 3x3x3's are the easiest to find.
  • For an actual store, a good spot is a college bookstore or a store at a museum, where they often have puzzles with pictures related to the college or museum on them.
  • The 3x3x3 cube is available at the official Rubik's store.
  • Another great on-line site is Meffert's World of Puzzles. He sells the Assembly Cube, a 3x3x3 cube that can easily be assembled and disassembled for just $12. Unless you like challenges, be sure to purchase the 6 color one, since the 3 color assembly cube is much more difficult to solve.
4x4 cube
